Went to post a parcel today and as its Christmas time you expect it to be busy. But what I find unacceptable is that there was only one counter open when the queue was out the door. The worst thing is there was another cashier on another counter but wasn't taking customers. After waiting 10 mins with barely any movement in the queue I walked out.

I don't blame the cashiers as they are doing what they can, but there is a serious management issue with this branch as this situation happens all too often and a quick look through reviews confirms this. Something needs to change in this regard as its clear this branch isn't very well managed

Very helpful. Efficient. Friendly. I had 3 parcels for Australia. He advised me on how to make sure they were not over the 2k. So therefore saving me money. (I am a pensioner and these boxes were for my grandaughter) there was large queue forming but he was unflappable.
He would be an asset in any post office. The person in question was called Har
sha.This was at Cockermouth post office.

This post office has plenty of counters but very often only one counter is open and with a long queue it is not unusual to wait for half an hour or more. This is not a reflection on the overworked staff but it is a management issue to make sure more counters are open. Currently it is an unacceptable situation.

I bought some expensive shoes for my daughter's birthday. The shoes managed to come all the way from the Netherlands and all the way to Cockermouth. There was an attempt to deliver at my house but I was at work so the delivery went to the Post Office.
The staff on duty managed to NOT scan in the parcel. There were only two parcel deliveries from Parcel Force on the day in question. So that makes it a 50% failure rate. How is it even possible?
I have been down to the Post Office on 5 occasions to date. I can't get a refund from either Parcel Force or the shop as they are insistent the shoes are in the Post Office!

I have been chasing around for this parcel for 10 days, have lost money, my daughter didn't get her present.
They don't seem very bothered, just trying to pass the buck.
Horrendous experience and I feel I can't trust the workers at all.
They were nice shoes so who knows and where could they be?

Really poor service in here. One member of staff and a massive queue and no interest from that person in doing anything quickly.

The girls are friendly but that’s the only positive…. There was a queue out the door yet again and one person serving and a lady monitoring the queue and saying she could not serve ….this is my third visit today having spent my whole lunch break in queue and having to leave unserved and when I quietly spoke to lady monitoring queue a customer jumped in and verbally abused me….i am now stood in the queue for third time and have been here 45 minutes waiting to a bill that can only be paid in the post office…. As a local business we need to use the post office but the service and length of time in a queue gets worse and worse

Queued for 45 minutes on Monday 11th, queue was all the way down into the shop. One member of staff serving while the other two were faffing about. Good customer service means that when there is a large queue somebody steps in to help out. This did not happen. Some customer service training would be useful here. If I could give less than one star I would. Totally disgusted with the quality of service as customers seem to come second.
