The Rustic was a place we passed during our trip and in the back of my mind was thinking "that place looks like a good time" trip plans changed later and my wife recommended. I immediately said let's go. This was my families favorite meal Turing our trip to Texas. The people were amazing. The atmosphere was amazing. The food was amazing and the bathrooms were exceptionally clean. If you are in the area make this a stop. I wish we would have been here during a live music event, however it was great regardless. Thank you The Rustic for an amazing lunch.

No self parking on premises , only valet ($10). Weekend/brunch menu is very limited; however, the dishes we ordered were all good! (Burger, chicken salad, and salmon salad). The chips were delicious, and the cocktails were tasty. Laid back atmosphere with live music. Staff was friendly.

The food was good. Started off with the Smokey Dip Duo, was a good appetizer. Wife got the tortilla soup, said had plenty of chicken and avocado. Good size portions. I got the Rustic burger. Good flavor. Hug place, with plenty of tables. Busy times I would recommend doing a reservation. It does give you the feel of being outside at a backyard party, without being actually outside. There are bands most nights, so if you go there after 6pm it will get loud in there amd ne hard to hold a conversation plus little kids might not enjoy it. Would like to go back again, but this time to see a show.

This place has evolved throughout the years. Their menu has become limited. We ordered the brunch and it was scrumptious. The price on the menu was not what we were charged, the menu had a price of $17.95 but we were charged $19.95. Our waiter went missing for 15 minutes and another server looked for her but couldn’t find her. It took 15 minutes to get a refill on water. Hope to visit again and have an elevated experience next. As other users mentioned there is no on-site parking, they do offer garage parking validation. The garage is Avenida South Garage which is around the corner, up to 3 hours - which they give you 15 minutes to get to your vehicle.

Me and a few of my military friends visited this Rustic location. The waiter was very kind and made us laugh. We did have the happy hour frozen drinks. It wasn’t strong but it tasted pretty good. Everyone enjoyed their food but the onion rings we received, half of them was the outside skin with fried batter. We did inform the waiter and he had another fresh order sent to us. Other than that, we had a good time.

This has such a cool atmosphere to it. We went while it was brunch and they had live acoustic music going on. The brunch seemed great but I went with the spicy salmon Caesar salad. Great flavor to it and cooked well. I would just asked for the dressing on the side next time since there was a lot!

We loved the atmosphere, generally liked the food, and were disappointed with service.

The restaurant itself is amazing - representing the State of Texas well! Large and dramatic, with a distinctive character! The outdoor stage provides some wonderful entertainment and looks to be a great place to host private parties. The indoor bar and dining room are beautiful and provide a great option for people who prefer the comforts of sitting inside.

Our food was not great, but good, overall. A few of the dishes that hit the nail on the head were the Tamales Three Ways, the Cedar Plank Salmon, and the Jalapeño Spoon Bread - all delicious. We were, however, quite disappointed with the pork and chicken tacos (served family style). We felt like they lacked flavor and creativity and as a featured menu item, should have been much better. This seemed to be a situation where quality may have been sacrificed for quantity. If you like tacos, I suggest avoiding these.

One important area for improvement was the service. Our waiter, Carter, didn’t mention the Happy Hour (3-6 PM) when we were seated at 5:00 PM and even after repeatedly telling him that we wanted to wait to order our entrees after enjoying some happy hour drinks and snacks, kept coming over to our table to ask if we wanted to order. This came off as pushy. Additionally, we had a problem with the check. After finally succumbing to Carter’s persistence and while ordering our entrees, we were informed that the Cedar Plank Salmon came with a side that was included in the price. When the bill arrived, the side appeared to be charged as an extra. Upon mentioning this, Carter confidently informed us that the $6.95 simply showed up on the bill, but was not included in the total (hint: it was included in the total and we had been, indeed, overcharged). After showing him the math, Management ultimately fixed our bill. Carter was appropriately apologetic (laying blame at a recently updated ordering computer system), but it does leave me wondering how many others have been similarly overcharged. An unfortunate end to an otherwise “good” early dinner.

This is a great place for live music and bands. Food was great, good beers and great views. We stopped on the way out of the rockets game.
